Retirement

If you’re retired and are thinking about how to manage your bills, find out more about how to get the information you need

Practical Support

For some people retirement may mean a change to your financial situation. Finding out about an unexpected bill or having to manage finances can put a strain on your money.

If you're finding it's a struggle to pay household bills or debts, having the right information can help you deal with your situation and put your mind at ease.

Plan your money:

  • It’s always good to understand your budget, even if your income hasn’t changed.

Know what income you are entitled to:

  • Check your pensions: The Department of Work and Pensions have established a Pension Tracking Service that can help people more easily and quickly locate their lost pension savings and then offer advice so you understand what you can do with them
  • Check your benefits entitlement or Turn2us
  • Help with regular bills: Age UK can advise on initiatives that could give you help with regular bills and outgoings
