Your questions, answered.

What is this debt for?

Account types available with EE and the application process that you would have followed:

  • SIM + Handset - 18/24/24+ month contract term
  • SIM Only - 30 days/18/24/24+ month contract term
  • Internet Dongle - Contract + SIM - 18-24-month contract term.

You may have transferred over to EE from Orange or T-Mobile at point of renewal, and now Lowell has bought your debt.

Terms and conditions will have been provided to you at point of application and when every device is issued.

I cancelled my contract?

Cancellation Inside the Cooling-Off Period

If services have already begun, you are required to pay for the full cost of the service(s) you have used.

Any discounts and offers are not taken in to account.

Potential charges include:

  • Charges for the service
  • Anything the customer has used which isn't covered by the charges
  • 3rd party services – online games etc

Cancellation Outside the Cooling-Off Period

You are required to give 30 days’ notice in order to cancel your contract.

If you were still within your contract when you cancelled, an ETF (Early termination fee) charge will apply. This is calculated as the total of months remaining by month plan; cost is less than 4%.

I returned my device?

If you purchased or ordered a device via telesales or the EE website and returned your device, this will be reflected on your account that Lowell have purchased.

The device and all accessories must have been returned. These are tracked so that the device is logged coming back into EE stock and will update on the your account properly.

Log in or register now to review your account details which will confirm how your balance has accrued.

My device was lost or stolen

Lost or Stolen device/SIM cards must be reported to EE to allow suspension of the service and blocking of the handset.

You are liable for any charges incurred up to reporting the loss/theft.

A new SIM card can be issued from EE, but in this case you would be expected to replace the handset.

If the phone is lost or stolen, you must report this. You, the customer, are liable for handset and any charges up until EE are informed. EE will not replace the handset.

I transferred ownership of my device

Transfer of ownership is available with EE, but the process may vary slightly depending on the transfer reason, e.g. separation/bereavement, and the product that is being used e.g. mobile or broadband.

There are a number of requirements for transfer of ownership to be accepted:

• EE must give consent

• Your account must be up to date

• Both the original account holder and new account holder must pass a DPA (Data Protection Act) check and speak with EE customer services

• The new or proposed account holder MUST pass a credit check. If the credit check fails, the transfer of ownership will not take place.
